For those of you who didn’t catch Stellar Magazine’s recent Wedding Special, you missed out! It featured lots of tips for the big day, fashion and some really beautiful real weddings, captured by some of Ireland’s finest photographers. Corin Bishop is one such photographer and today he makes his debut on Bride & Joy with Jeanita and Conor’s stunning New York wedding, which was also featured in the mag.

What I love about this warm, pink-tinged NYC elopement is that it doesn’t feel lonely. Sometimes I see beautiful elopements and I think the couple look so happy, so fantastically in love, but a little teensy bit lonely at the same time. I’m not sure whether it’s the beautiful city’s befriending of them, or simply their own amazing rapport, but they look like this was always meant to be their big day, just the two of them.

They married at an intimate ceremony in a secluded area called Ladies’ Pavilion, next to a lake in Central Park.

My favorite photo is of the bride hopping out of a yellow cab, what a quintessential New York image.
